[07:06] * @S.X. Aino is bored waiting for everyone to get back from the wedding in Canada
[07:07] * @S.X. Aino starts writing down the rules for a game she likes to play to keep her mind sharp which she devised called "Alliteratons"
[07:09] <@S.X. Aino> 1. The game of Alliterations is a continuous series of challenges between players in the form of "Letter Number" e.g. "A 4", which stands for "Using words starting with the letter _A_ , make an alliterative sentence of four words in length."
[07:14] <@S.X. Aino> 2. The player being challenged must then do so, responding with a _grammatically correct_ sentence that _makes sense_ and meets the requirements of the challenge, e.g. "Angry Amazons annihilated the Argonauts".
[07:15] <@S.X. Aino> 3. Small connective words such as "on, the, be," etc. or pronouns such as "I, you, we" etc. don't count as breaking the alliterative chain and do not contribute to word count. Variants of play could include a restriction on using these words or bonus points for avoiding their application.
[07:16] <@S.X. Aino> 4. The goal of the game is to push the other player with harder and harder challenges of greater and greater complexity until they can no longer complete a phrase of the desired length.
[07:19] <@S.X. Aino> 5. Using arcane letters like Q, X, Z and Y is considered cheap; however as part of the purpose of the game is to strengthen vocabulary, they can be used as bonus point rounds.
[07:20] <@S.X. Aino> 6. Each successfully constructed phrase is worth a point; a standard round victory is first to reach 10 points. This can be increased for the mental masochists out there.
[07:23] <@S.X. Aino> 7. For greater challenge, each incorrect sentence can deduct a point from the player's total.
[07:26] * @S.X. Aino nods, satisfied, and goes off to do other things
[07:26] * @S.X. Aino is away: getting up early is extremely irritating
