Here's the update
Thanks to Intern, we were able to CSI-vision crappy license plate imagery from some roadside cams to find the address of the guy who did the hit-and-run on Yuki.
We sent a squad of officers to his place. He wasn't answering, so they busted in and found this:

Yeah someone murdered him.
And even more bizarre was the fact he had a crescent moon on his forehead. DNA and historical records searches by Megan O'Cain, one of the stasis-preserved survivors of the fall of the Silver Millennium showed that our vic there was a reincarnated civil servant, part of the Royal court, distantly related to the Serenity Line.

It turns out that Serenity reincarnated not just Moon and her guardians, but as many people as she coud from the moon when she died. It looks like some of these people are now starting to regain their memories of their past lives.

Yeah it ties back into a case that Matsuo Shin and I were working about a strange cult that seemed to be imitating Silver Millennium garb and habits... the "Golden Crescent".
And now we think they might be some of these survivors that are reawakening their past memories, though we're not 100% sure.

My pet theory is Yuki was attacked because her Sailor V production is basically a blaphemy against the true history of the Silver Millennium. The dead fellow had a Sailor V manga in his place.

Maybe. And to top it all off ther are almost riots in Roppongi now because Yuki's still in a coma and the hospita; isn't letting some quack faith healers in to try and "Cure" her.

I heard about that on Haruki's show. There are so many people trying to get famous by being "the one to heal 'It's Yuki!!" that he had to give over his whole show to just interviewing them all this morning.
