Fair - I'm American, I live in Los Angeles when I'm not in Tokyo, and my family origins are Swedish.

I'm from Gallifrey, and I was born on a large island called The Isle of Meaning.

I'm English, from Windsor England, and my family line is almost purely English with a smattering of Scots and Norse in it.

Because in the year 1066, Lord Cedric Peinforte decreed the family name, which had been Poenaforte up until that time, had the name changed to show loyalty to the new king. During The Anarchy, the family basically retconned that change in the family histories with the Peinforte spelling, in an effort to shore up their support of Stephen of Blois.
