A police car chasing a gang of car thieves in Colombia lost its quarry when it was stopped at a toll booth.
The gang drove through the toll booth at high speed but workers flagged down the pursuing police car.
They would not let the police car leave until the officers had paid the toll.
By that time, the thieves were long gone and officers say they have no clues as to their whereabouts.
They had been chasing the gang for 25 miles from Bogota and were near the town of Facacativa, according to Cadena Nacional radio station.
