[13:51] * Nelius Raoul sees that things are progressing as intended, then gates to another area of his home Netherworld.
[13:55] *** The area Nelius stops off at appears, at first glance, to have been the site of a former construction project. The place in particular was home to a gate that connected the Netherworld and Celestia---- when the schism happened many eons ago, the gate came under attack, and was damaged beyond repair. Even with the recent construction efforts, the gate would not function.
[13:57] * Nelius Raoul stares at the gate for a bit. (Even with the advances, this old thing still won't work--- maybe it's just missing something.)

[19:51] *** To look deep into one's own heart---- some would call it introspective navel-gazing. For those whom dwell in the Netherworld, it was a literal action they could take.
[19:52] *** At the Nether Institute: Evil Academy, and many other places around the Netherworld, there was the Netherworld Heart Bank, a vault system that, aside from holding money and treasures, could also be used to store away memories and other deep secrets.
[19:54] *** The locale inside Nelius' own heart looked..... oddly similar to his home, with the main difference being the foundations looking much sleeker and like a fusion of Netherworld and Celestial tastes.
[19:56] * Nelius Raoul looks over to find the voices--- "The hell?"
[19:57] *** His trio of locked weapons--- Maximov, Croixshot and Shatterpact--- are seen hovering nearby, but something about their designs feels off.

[19:58] <Shatterpact>“ For all of this time... now we can bestow it.”
[20:00] <Croixshot> ♦ You are different from the other demons---- whereas they would sell us or melt us down, you've taken care of us, given us reverence...

[20:02] *** The three weapons resonate, and a powerful, yet gentle glow emits from them. When the glow settles, the three weapons are nowhere to be seen, instead now replaced by new weaponry!

[20:06] * Nelius Raoul sees the three weapons descend. They hover there for a while, as if telling Nelius to take them.
[20:09] * Nelius Raoul reaches his hands out to first take the Master's Fist--- having been Shatterpact, these gauntlets had stuck with him the longest, through every event. As he equips them, he feels the on rush of gratitude, of how through thick and thin he'd kept them in the best of shape.
[20:14] * Nelius Raoul then grips both Zillions Buster and Amalgam Flame, noticing how natural they feel to him....
[20:17] <Nelius Raoul> ...gotta say, it's great to have you three back, even if the retirement only lasted five days.
[20:18] <Nelius Raoul> Only ways to go from here are forwards and upwards--- let's get to business!
[20:19] * Nelius Raoul heads to leave the landscape, a curious kinda feeling rising up in his heart--- one that he hadn't felt for nearly 20 years, due to all the unwarranted Dimensionsal Travel that was outside his control.

[00:15] * Mita scans over the multiple codelines, her mind going multiple AUs a minute as she alters, moves, and copies the code as specified.
[00:16] * Delta-3361AF acts as the relay for the commands being sent to the Usatako and headband, given that their techologies are similar in origin.
[00:18] * Haru E perspires a bit, but manages to keep her cool as her bio-organic mind registers the changes being done.

[00:19] * Mita nods in affirmation as she fixes the last code. Once complete, she disconnects Haru and her headband from the computer as she powers it down.

[17:03] * Anzu is literally dancing circles around several--- an impromptu lesson in dance and avoidance.
[17:05] * Thorndyke instructs several cadets in how to disassemble and reassemble their weapons. He performs each step with clear, concise instruction.

[17:20] * Farris shows the cadets around some areas of the Netherworld, letting them see the varied population of monster-class demons and where they prefer to live.
[17:25] * Zotia presents the reports that have come in from the others--- Nelius looks them over, marking down a few spots where some have been doing quite well, and where things could stand to improve.

[18:27] *** The current area has much greenery--- trees and all sorts of plants about. You can faintly see something of a mountain off in the distance.
[18:28] * Kanri-chan climbs a tree to look around
[18:30] *** You can definitely tell this region has a LOT of green to it. If you have binoculars or a similiar instrument, you might be able to tell what might be climbing over on the mountain base.
[18:33] *** From here, it's something brown and roughly about the height of an average person.
[18:34] * Kanri-chan leaps from tree to tree to get closer
[18:36] *** As you approach, the image of the character gets clearer, a bit. Whatever it is, they have a tail and some sharp-looking ears. Get closer?
[18:37] * Kanri-chan takes out her daggers just in case and gets closer
[18:37] *** You're rapidly approaching the mountain's base. The character is getting much clearer to see---- and they're not alone.
[18:39] *** As you get closer, you see the figures look very much like this. Each one stands about 5'9", and some appear to be sparring.

[18:40] *** One of them notices you. It approaches.
[18:40] <Nekomata> Huh? Hey, this one doesn't look like any nekomata I've seen before?
[18:41] * Kanri-chan waves "hello. im not exactly a nekomata"

[18:41] <Nekomata> If she's not a nekomata, then where'd the ears and tail come from?

[18:46] * Nekomata tilts her head, one of her ears flicking. "And who's your brother?"

[18:48] <Other Nekomata> Hey, isn't he that one guy who even towers over the boss?
[18:48] <Other Nekomata> Y'know, has at least one or two heads of height over her?

[18:49] <Kanri-chan> is he at least 7 feet tall long unruly red brown hair and odd colored eyes? talks pretty straight forward?

[18:51] <Nekomata> Explains that, at any rate. Said this was a perimeter run?

[18:53] <Nekomata> Well, I get the feeling you're gonna be sorely disappointed. Not too much happens around these parts, other than us kicking the crap outta the Imps whenever they try grasping at us.

[18:59] *** Leaving the mountain, you make your way west.
[19:00] * Kanri-chan looks around the same as before
[19:01] *** Lots of greenery still--- wait, what's that smell in the air?
[19:01] * Kanri-chan sniff sniffs "hm?"
[19:03] *** You smell water... and a decent amount of it too.
[19:04] * Kanri-chan heads for the smell "water? in a forest?"
[19:06] *** As you approach, the trees seem to thin a bit. Ahead is what appears to be a pond, somewhat smaller than the lake usually frequented by the Overlord's crew.
[19:08] * Kanri-chan drops down to the ground and looks around "sugoi!"
[19:10] *** The pond looks quite nice, an unspoiled beauty within the Netherworld.
[19:12] * Kanri-chan keeps a mental note of where this pond is "mine"
[19:13] * Kanri-chan heads off to continue her check
[19:13] *** All appears quiet. A few mothmen flit by overhead.
[19:14] <Kanri-chan> its so different from earth. but beautiful all the same
[19:15] * Kanri-chan heads north
[19:17] *** As you head north, it actually seems to get a bit warmer as you go along. The tree density begins to taper off considerably.
[19:18] <Kanri-chan> hmm must be a good day for everyone
[19:20] *** You're pretty much out of the woods now, and the lingering scent of brimstone and sulfur begins to creep in.
[19:20] * Kanri-chan looks around
[19:22] *** Yeah, some miles off, there's the unmistakable sign of lava. And wouldn't you know, there's a few dragons enjoying the heat.
[19:22] * Kanri-chan heads over to make sure theyre doing alright
[19:23] *** Are you certain you wanna do that? These are wild dragons, y'know.
[19:23] *** Besides, it's near 2000 degrees Farenheit over there. Get too close and you'll be cooked alive.
[19:24] <Kanri-chan> i'm only getting close enough to make sure none of them are hurt green voice. its not like im going to get THAT close
[19:25] *** As you approach, you can just feel the heat already oppressively bearing down on you. These dragons look to be just fine, just snoozing.
[19:25] * Kanri-chan nods and heads south "last stop"
[19:27] *** As you exit the volcanic region, the heat dissolves away into refreshing coolness. You pass by the area where you discovered the pond and continue on.
[19:29] * Kanri-chan contiues south "after this i'll return to niikun and let him know"
[19:29] *** Way in the distance sits the Overlord's Castle. There's a massive expanse of grassland between you and the castle, and you can see some Alraune soaking up the Netherworld sunshine, though one has to punch a Mothman in the face.
[19:31] * Kanri-chan keeps going "thats normal"
[19:33] *** All in all, today seems to be a quiet day in the Netherworld--- no invading Overlord hopefuls, no potential insurrectionists, not even----
[19:33] *** Something in the distance makes a GIGANTIC fireball.
[19:34] <Kanri-chan> //me zips over to the source "whats that??"
[19:34] * Kanri-chan ^
[19:35] *** You run over as fast as your legs can carry you. There seems to be a crater about three miles away from the castle.
[19:36] <Kanri-chan> thats a bit too close for comfort
[19:37] * Kanri-chan looks around for the cause >>
[19:37] * Mita is seen in the middle of the crater, still singed a bit. Her usual attire is damaged, and her glasses are cracked and missing a lens.
[19:37] * Mita coughs up some smoke. "OK, less Moth powder this time..."

[19:38] <Mita> Oh, heya Kanri. What brings you out here?
[19:38] * Mita gives a casual wave, oblivious to the fact of how silly she looks right now.
[19:39] <Kanri-chan> I'm doing a perimeter check for niikun. what happened?
[19:39] <Mita> Oh, just the usual experimentation in the name of Science™.
[19:40] <Mita> And funny that you mention your bro, he headed out a little while back to pick something up.

[19:41] * Mita nods.
[19:42] <Kanri-chan> hm. well i should be done soon. maybe he'll be back then

[19:42] <Mita> Keep on doing what you do, then. I need to adjust the mixture some more.
[19:43] * Kanri-chan salutes and heads south
[19:43] * Mita heads back to the Overlord's Castle. It appears that her remaining shoe dissolved mid-walk.

[19:44] *** You continue on south, past the Overlord's Castle and to the edge of the grasslands.

[19:48] *** There doesn't seem to be too much to see around here. There's the lake everyone tends to partake in---- waitaminute, did someone dive in?
[19:50] * Kanri-chan checks the water to see if they're drowning
[19:50] *** The water seems quite calm--- no sign of drowning can be seen from here.
[19:52] <Kanri-chan> i could have sworn someone dived in >>
[19:52] *** Yet, you can't help but get the feeling of being watched...
[19:54] * Kanri-chan looks around "hello?"
[19:56] *** Nothing answers back. Try and suss out where this feeling is coming from?
[19:57] * Kanri-chan flicks her ears listening carefully
[19:59] *** There is something in the water, as you imagined. However, it appears to be still, waiting for your move.
[20:00] * Kanri-chan pulls out a vial and drinks it, diving into the water "hello?"
[20:01] *** As you dive down, your eyes catch glimpse of this odd-looking character.
[20:04] <Norah> Who are you?
[20:06] * Norah appears to be a blue-skinned humanoid female with pointed ears, webbed hands and feet, and she's also got some light protective gear on her person. Oh, and there's a trident nearby.
[20:07] <Kanri-chan> I'm Kanri. i saw someone dive in.
[20:07] <Kanri-chan> i thought they were drowning so i came to check
[20:08] <Norah> No drownings here, miss Kanri. I happen to live here, actually--- kinda moved in about..... a week or two ago, I think?
[20:08] * Kanri-chan smiles "that's good. im sorry for barging in."
[20:09] <Norah> Eh, things happen. So, what brings you here?
[20:10] <Kanri-chan> im doing a perimeter check for my brother.
[20:11] <Norah> Well, that's nice to hear.
[20:13] * Kanri-chan nods i should be going to finish up and report back to him. you take care ok?
[20:13] <Norah> All right. Oh, if you happen to meet the Overlord at all, do let him know those Warslugs have been sighted sniffing around the area?
[20:15] * Kanri-chan blinks "heh. ok i'll let him know. where about have they been?"
[20:17] <Norah> Mainly they've been focusing a bit to the east from this lake. Though I wouldn't be too surprised if they've made the decision to circle about in another direction. They are known to be ambush predators, from what I've heard of things.
[20:20] * Kanri-chan nods "i'll see what i can do. if i need help i'll send for one of the knights ok?"
[20:20] <Norah> Sounds good. Take care, miss Kanri.
[20:22] * Kanri-chan nods "you too" swims out
[20:23] * Kanri-chan climbs and heads in a circle around the pond
[20:24] *** Norah has left #suburbansenshi4
[20:24] *** You don't see too much activity outside the lake from your current path. Expand your search a bit?
[20:25] * Kanri-chan gets her daggers ready and does so
[20:26] *** As you expand your search radius, you come across something in the grass.... it looks like a clear mucus of some kind.
[20:26] * Kanri-chan grips her daggers and heads around scoping out how many there are
[20:29] *** The mucus trail leads east, away from the lake as Norah mentioned. Up ahead, you see a gathering of at least 70 warslugs--- they're eyeless amphibious creatures with large antennae on their bodies. Be careful about approaching them, as they can discharge some nasty electricity.
[20:31] * Kanri-chan silently leaps into a hidden vantage point sending a text to Zotia and Atreya for a few guards to be sent
[20:32] <Kanri-chan> (i cant take them all on my own. it wouldnt do any good to get in over my head)
[20:32] *** Near by Kanri's position, a Dimensional Gate opens up. Several of the vassals file out.

[20:33] <Zotia> My, that is a number of Warslugs indeed. Good eye, Kanri.
[20:34] * Kanri-chan looks up "there's an inhabitant who pointed them out. she asked me to tell niikun. i figured i could help take care of it though"
[20:37] <Zotia> Oh, Miss Norah informed you?
[20:37] <Zotia> Only two weeks since stumbled into this world, and she's performing admirably.
[20:38] * Kanri-chan nods "i guess thats her name"
[20:39] <Zotia> At any rate, we're ready. Shall we clear them out?
[20:41] <Kanri-chan> lets do it
[20:44] * Zotia gives the signal, and the vassals all ready themselves.
[20:44] * Kanri-chan readies her daggers
[20:45] *** The vassals move into position, and then the signal to attack is given! Have at them!
[20:45] * Kanri-chan slashes at the slugs!
[20:46] *** The Warslugs were caught off-guard by the attack, and many of them fall!
[20:47] *** They retaliate with shots of electricity fired from their antennae.
[20:48] * Kanri-chan dodges quickly! "eesh! these things are gross"
[20:50] * Janice gets her gun out, and riddles the enemy group with bullets.
[20:50] * Atreya is happily roasting them alive! :D
[20:52] * Kanri-chan keeps going with her daggers being careful of the electricity
[20:53] *** Steadily, the Warslug group is taken out. Those at the rear of the group make a smart call---- RUN AWAY!
[20:55] * Kanri-chan watches still on gaurd
[20:55] <Kanri-chan> they're retreating?
[20:57] <Zotia> Likely to regroup and lick their wounds.
[21:01] *** Will you follow, or leave things as they are? Remember Norah's suspicions...
[21:01] <Kanri-chan> hm is that a good thing? shouldnt we follow?
[21:03] * Zotia takes up a quick discussion with the other vassals, and they decide to follow.
[21:03] <Zotia> Keep your wits about you, everyone.
[21:03] *** The group follows.

[21:06] *** There's more of the Warslugs ahead. Hold a moment, are they actively trying to attack some Mothmen?
[21:08] <Zotia> ....strange, normally they stick to hydrated areas. This is very odd behavior.

[21:10] <Kanri-chan> i have a bad feeling about this
[21:10] *** It doesn't seem the Mothmen are gonna give up--- they spread noxious dust onto the slugs, trying to drive them away.
[21:13] *** The slugs retaliate with bolts of electricity---- then out of nowhere thorny vines attack the slugs, making them retreat further.

[21:15] <Lyra> Ugh, those slugs.... I'll have to clean my vines after this.
[21:15] * Lyra has arrived, alongside some other Alraune.
[21:16] <Lyra> Oh, hello Miss Kanri, Miss Zotia.

[21:16] <Kanri-chan> um....
[21:18] <Zotia> Ah, young Lyra, a delight to see you again.

[21:18] <Lyra> Ugh, tell me about it--- their slime's getting everywhere and ruining my flowers!

[21:22] * Lyra then looks to Kanri. "Keiko is gonna have a chance to come by again, isn't she?"
[21:22] *** The slugs are further headed off elsewhere. Something is very amiss.
[21:23] * Kanri-chan looks around and leaps into the trees to look around
[21:24] * Zotia looks over to Lyra. "Keiko will have a chance to return someday soon. When that chance arises, I'll have you informed."

[21:25] *** The slugs continue on their path. You notice their walking seems.... stilted, a bit jerky....

[21:27] *** If the slugs know Kanri is there, they show no reaction to her following them. They continue marching on.... their destination seems to be a cavern of sorts.

[21:30] * Zotia catches up with Kanri, and the other vassals aren't too far behind.
[21:30] * Zotia looks to the trees. "Kanri, did you find anything?"
